ANSI is a set of engineering and drafting standards set for the United States. ISO is a set of engineering and drafting standards that is international among several countries. Some american companies that may not do international business may still follow ISO standards anyway though.In terms of drafting, there is little or know difference.In terms of engineering though, there can be a vast array of differences of what is an acceptable design of certain products and what is not. ISO may be laid back or highly restrictive in some aspects and vice versa for ANSI.
